Don't price your tournament promo yet
Ten dollars gets you into a US Palworld shop tournament, and everyone who sits down walks out with a promo card. Four of the nine cards in that pack have no published name — no name, no market, no price, ours included.

The payout structure sits on the official event pages, and it's simple enough. Every participant in a Shop Tournament — quarterly, first season started this month — gets one card from PR Card Pack Vol.1: a nine-card series, EPR-002 through EPR-009 plus ESOUL-008. September's shop champions will *also* receive Vol.1.5, the EPR-002S–009S parallels, on top of the participation card. Alternate Universes ran roughly $10 Grand Release events across Pennsylvania and Delaware through August, paying out something different again — the three-card Entry Soul Card Set.
Four of the nine have no name
EPR-002, -003, -004 and -009 are promo reprints of base-set cards: Flambelle, Blazehowl, Fuack, Loupmoon. Straightforward. EPR-005 through EPR-008 are published as a code and a card image with a generic promo label, and they're absent from the official searchable card database. Our catalog carries all four code-only, name field empty, because there's nothing citable to put in it.
No name means no search term, and no search term means no comps. That's the sharpest version of a problem the whole pack shares: the named ones don't have a market yet either — they just have somewhere to put one when it arrives.
What the promos that did reach the market do
The deepest read we have is the Chillet Soul promo (ESOUL-003), and it isn't close — 250 banked sales makes it the most-traded promo on our tape by a factor of three. English copies hold a $138 seven-day median across 21 completed sales, high confidence. Japanese copies of the same card ran a $50.11 median across 15 completed sales over thirty days. Same card, two markets, roughly a 2.7x gap.
The other real book is Lamball "My First Pal" (EPR-001), the card sellers tag as the Gen Con freebie: a $50 median across 75 completed sales in the last thirty days, individual prints reaching $170. It's falling. The $201 sale that seeded every early hot take was a single outlier that never repeated.
The Entry Soul set has one sale each
A wrinkle worth stating plainly: the official Grand Release page calls the prize the "Entry Soul Card Set," and the codes ESOUL-005, -006 and -007 only surface in that page's image paths — while our own book carries those same codes tagged as Singapore Festival promos. Same three codes, two stories about where they came from, and we're not going to pretend we've resolved it.
Either way, the tape says the same thing. Each of the three has sold exactly once: $39.99, on August 2, low confidence. One sale is a data point, not a market. Anyone quoting you a price on these is quoting you a listing with a single receipt somewhere behind it.
So: don't price the promo yet. The analysis, not the data, is this — cheap and free promos tend to settle below their opening asks once supply finds the market, and Lamball is the one case we've actually watched do it, from a $201 headline to a $50 median. One case is not a rule. The circuit is also getting bigger rather than smaller: 3.5 million packs sold worldwide as of July, and two more league seasons land by November. More events mean more copies.
Play the tournament because the tournament is worth ten dollars. The promo is a bonus, not a thesis.
